One of my favorite publishers for math workbooks for students. I have many of their workbooks and have been consistently pleased with the quality and number of resources they provide. The workbooks include more than enough practice problems for your child to work through during the school year and the book comes along with their online website access. To my knowledge, all of their workbooks come with video explanations on their website. Some instructor reviews question by question making this an essential workbook to have for all parents and teachers. As a parent who has used their workbooks for my kids and continue to do so, I highlly recommend this brand.

My daughter has been using this workbook for the past several months on a daily basis and out of many other workbooks we have, I would rank this as the best. There are so many problems in the workbook, it will probably take months to complete and some of the questions really make you think. I have a background in math and I’ll admit I had to think two times for a few questions. After each section, there is an answer key with explanations. All of the questions are also ranked in difficulty. I would highly recommend this workbook to other parents.

Love this book.
Clear explanation of the principle. This book is really helpful for my kid. The material is given in a simple and fun manner.

My son started to solve the problems from this book and it looks like he is interested in it. Also, I like the design of this book. The answers are available.

This is a great book to help a child advance and understand the concepts of math.
The book is a good size, not too large and not too small. The cover is not hard, but is not very thin; it is covered with a protective layer that should make it last.
The book is very easy to follow. The examples are well written and help greatly with understanding the solution. The problems are well presented and are very relevant. It is very helpful to see the level of the difficulty stated under each problem (Easy, Medium, and Hard). So, the child does not get frustrated with the problem, knowing that it is Hard and he might need some extra time.
Overall, I would highly reccommend this book.

I’m glad we already have it! (I bought it a year ago).
We’re going to be a “homeschooling” rest of this year, because of coronavirus quarantine. this book helps to keep the level up. It has a ton of questions, nicely structured by topics with answer explanations. What I like about this book the most is that it covers several grades and each question labelled if questions is hard, medium or easy.

This book is fantastic in preparing your child to take the test and raise their scores. It covers the core Math concepts. It is also an awesome diagnostic tool that can help you to pinpoint the areas that need attention. This book was very helpful to my middle schooler. Highly recommend!

What an amazing tool!!! It is very practical, my daughter says it helps her a great deal, and makes math fun. Definitely recommend.

Very helpful book, starting from the 4th grade.

great learning book but I wish the answers were at the end of the book instead of after every 20 questions or 4 pages.

This is a great book to help supplement my daughter’s normal math assignments. The one and only issue I have is that the answers to the problems are on the back of the work page or, in some cases, just one page away. I tear the pages out and have her work on them daily so it’s frustrating to either leave it and risk her peeking at the answers or going through and crossing them out.
That being said, I do love how it works through the answers so the student can see precisely where if any, a mistake was made!

It’s a great book! It has a lot of interesting questions on Arithmetic, Algebra, Geometry and Statistics. My son likes this book, it helps him to practice and understand math.

We bought this book in late 2018, but it is now in daily use thanks to quarantine. This book is not meant to be a textbook replacement and does not claim to be. For what it is – daily practice: it is perfect. The chapter size is just right for my 12 yo. Agree with others who commented on the printed difficulty level – a little detail that does make a big difference. The fact that the answer key is right next to the question is also not a bad thing – teaching integrity is just as important as teaching math.
Highly recommend.

As a parent who never really enjoyed math or algebra at school, I find myself in a difficult spot having to explain the problems and the best ways to work them out to my children. I have a child that is bright, but has a short attention span. Lengthy explanations bore him and tend to loose him. This book works like magic – short and sweet, to the point. It gives problems with various degree of difficulty and the next page gives the quick explanation of the answer. It might not the the book to learn the topic your child has never been introduced to, but if your child, like mine, covered the topic at school but never really took time to fully understand or practice – this is the book for you. As for me – if I need a reminder on how to work the problems out so I can better explain it to my kid if needed, I start with the answer page :). Some of the reviewers mentioned not liking the multiple choice answers. I don’t see as a problem, since I insist my child shows his work, not just the correct answer. As an option, we copy the problem on a worksheet and he works through it without ever seeing any of the answers and I actually find the answers helpful since they give me a quick way of knowing if he did it right without having to check the steps every time. Out of many math books we’ve tried over the years, this is by far our favorite. My child agrees that this is definitely easy to understand and follow book and the problems can be challenging but avoid boring repetition. Even with the concepts he struggled before, after practicing with this book, he can confidently say that he truly understands the how to apply them. Seeing the success we had with this book with my older child, I ordered the book from the same series for my 1st grader.

I see this being a useful tool for my kid practice mathematics.

Small writing, mixed level problems. Useful for an 8th grader or a very advanced 6th grader. I wanted to use it in an SDC class.

Excellent math book, very good approach by giving so many various problems to work on it. Exact same approach as in karate kid movie: wax on/wax off.
Math Customer –
Great book lots of problems to work on, helps my son to stay focused even while out of school.

I’m a 6th grade math teacher and I simply LOVE this book. I ordered the one that covers 4th and 5th grade as well and I plan to use both interchangeably this year specially for homework assignments and assessments. The fact that an answer key is given and problems are classified as easy, medium or hard also saves time in my planning and selecting.
Mom3 –
This book is definitely for kids who already know exactly how to do the problem and just need some extra practice. This book doesn’t have any lessons or guidance in it which Im sure is great for some but my girls needed the lesson. The yellow book that goes with this one is very helpful with its lessons.

I use the 6-8 grade book to review my kids math foundations before we move on to highschool math. The set of questions was made thoughtfully, both to practice math skills and to develope mathematical thinking. I am very pleased.

I bought this book to help prepare my grands for middle school math. The material in the book is great but it doesn’t demonstrate how to work each section. I’ve been out of school for more than 40 years and a lot of these problems I don’t know how to solve.
Baishali A. –
The book is a great compilation of needed math problems that can really be fun solving together with a parent or teacher, or doing on your own for practice after learning at school and home.

I took it for my child to get all concepts of middle school revised before she starts high school. We were happy with it and the standard of problems in it however it would have been better had the book been arranged grade wise. The book served its purpose though.

Good math problems.
The answer key is nearly unusable.
– Has to be downloaded from a web site, but the download fails on mobile devices (Android).
– The answer key is a non-searchable PDF.
– The answer key has random page numbers and no easy way to link back to the original problems.
I had to browse through the PDF until I saw the relevant section title (remember, no page numbers and no search funciton).

I’m a tutor and frequently use problems from this book when my math students don’t have homework. I love that the book is divided into topics, and that within a topic, each question is marked easy, medium or hard. I also like that the solutions are on the immediately following page, so you don’t have to go searching at the back of the book. The book is also fairly compact, which is nice – not too large or heavy. I don’t write reviews too frequently, but had to share how much I appreciate this book.

I bought the book in August to use with my children . I am unable to gain access to the answer key. I have contacted the “bot” and I am still waiting for a reply. Created an account did everything that I was told to do no, answer
The answer key was sent via pdf. to my email today. Thank you Argo Prep. I’ve changed my rating. Your website needs work so customers have easier access to the answer key.

Im using this book to help tutor some kids, and this book really helps a lot! I can go through the problems with them together and there is even a QR code on the back if I need the answers to ensure that their answers are correct. It really hits everything needed for middle school math, I definitely recommend this book for either practice or tutoring.
