We plan to use this as a resource with the Khan Academy Algebra 2 course. I think it will work well.

For his summer self study and he loves it!

I bought this as a workbook to give my son a head start on algebra 2 over the summer. My son is 14 and is advanced in math. The examples are short but precise and clear that it was perfect for him to self taught. It’s also great to refresh my algebra 2 so I can help my son when he needs it. I bought 4 different workbooks to compare and this is the best by far. I like the problems at the end of each section to practice and have the answer key in the back to check my work.

I bought this book for my 7th grader. He feels the examples are helpful, but the questions are at easy side. It’s a decent book overall.

Math is such a hard concept for me and it always was such a hassle passing any math with a c. This however, broke it down to a level and concept that I very easily understood. Especial when it came to algebraic expressions. That was a hassle itself but I was able to pass the class with a B and got my degree! When 3rd times the charm doesn’t work buy this book you won’t regret it.
Really helpful –
I take advanced algebra II and it’s a really fast paced course which is where this book helps out. I love it so far, it contains a good amount of info but it is missing some early on content we learn in class (we use the same textbook by McGraw hill). But overall, I’d highly recommend

The explanations were good but some of the language and logic would be difficult for a student at this level to comprehend.
The section on inferential statistics feels out if place here. This last section of the books probably covers the first 3 months of AP statistics. I fee similarly about the appendicies covering matrices and conditional probability but at least these sections are only a couple pages each. This space would have been much better used for a pre- and post-test or review sections between chapters.

This had all the right information!

My 10 year old son asked me to buy this for him as he enjoys math and has been teaching himself how to do Algebra 2. He enjoys the layout and uses it often.

It is not easy to find a good book on Algebra II. This one is outstanding. The explanations are clear. The format is excellent because it provides the explanations and exercises with clarity. The exercises have the answers when you need them. It is comprehensive and a pleasure to use. It is perfect to review all the concepts and to practice and solidify what we learn. Great resource!
